Chrysalis Hair Studio – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By using this website and booking an appointment through Chrysalis Hair Studio you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions you may not access this website or book any services with Chrysalis Hair Studio. Before you book an appointment or attend an appointment to have any of our hairdressing services, please read out terms and conditions. If you have any questions relating to these terms and conditions please do not hesitate to contact us.

  1. Booking Our Services

Please Note: £5 – £10 non refundable deposit is now required in advance of all bookings.  The amount of the deposit will depend on the level of service required, This is in place to avoid costly cancellations. This payment will be carried out through PayPal.

Chrysalis Hair Studio will only take bookings from female clients for security and efficiency reasons. Services may be provided to male clients or children if booked with services to be provided to the female client(s). Enquiries may be made by telephone, email, text or Social Media. Bookings will only be confirmed by Christal once the details and prices, including any travel expenses, for the services have been agreed with the client, and this will be done either by telephone, email or text.

Chrysalis Hair Studio reserves the right to select and use the most appropriate professional products for all services provided. Bookings may be subject to an additional charge for travel where the appointment is more than a bus ride away. The charge will be calculated (based on travel distance) at the time of booking and agreed prior to acceptance of a booking. Evening appointments (after 6pm) with less than 24hrs notice may be subject to an additional charge.

  1. Your right to cancel

At least 24 hours notice is requested if you need to cancel or change your appointment. When an appointment is booked we reserve that time for you, when we are not given enough notice to let others know a slot has become available we are at a disadvantage. If there is cancellation or change of treatment twice in a row we will no longer be able to provide you with our services. If you fail to give any notice of cancellation we will no longer be able to provide you with our services.

As we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non-arrival, customers are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and that any booking made with Chrysalis Hair Studio (verbal or written) forms a legally binding contract.

How to cancel or change your appointment: Cancellations should be made by calling Christal or Monique. If you are cancelling outside of normal working hours you may cancel by email or text message, you should confirm to check that the change has been made.

  1. Our right to cancel or move appointments

In unusual circumstances we may need to cancel your booking. In the event that we cannot fulfil your appointment, we will contact you by telephone. If during an appointment Christal, Jemma or Monique are not satisfied that the condition of a client’s hair  is not as described at the time of booking/consultation, such as, but not limited to, hair damage due to excessive bleaching or build-up of colour or relaxing, then we reserves the right to cancel the appointment. Under no circumstances will any compensation payments be made by us to you for any cancelled or moved appointments.

  1. Refunds

We do not offer refunds for any completed services. However if you are in any way dissatisfied with any aspect of your experience, please let us know prior to our departure, or in writing by email within 24 hours of our departure. We will try our utmost to resolve any problems encountered with a particular service, but this excludes the provision of modified, alternative or additional services, unless fees are paid for such services.

  1. Your file

You agree to keep your personal record held by Chrysalis Hair Studio updated with your full contact details – which will enable us to contact you in the event of any change relating to your appointments.

  1. Payment

All payments must be made in cash, and no staged payments will be accepted unless prior agreement has been made. All prices are correct at the time of posting online. The total cost of your booking or product is the price as set out on this website, but will be confirmed either verbally, by text or via email before any treatment or service commences.

  1. Treatments – PLEASE NOTE

When booking an appointment to get a Relaxer, Retouch, Texturizer or Colour, clients are advised not to wash their hair, scratch or irritate the scalp in any way for a minimum of one week, preferably two weeks. This is to prevent irritation and burning to the scalp. If clients choose to ignore this advise, give false information during the consultation or go ahead with the booking regardless –  we will not be held responsible for any irritation or burns caused due to these actions. We will do our utmost to ensure all such treatments are carried out efficiently and professionally to minimise said effects.
